Portland, Oregon’s Plants are a psychedelic folk act that blend ethereal acoustic textures with melancholy lyrical beauty; employing strings, organs, flutes and bells they create a sound that’s ‘quietly intense’, like the sound of a storm in the distance. Portland editor finally recovers from “Suburban Deliverence”. His summer experience of Idaho had brought Dan Hagan to the brink of mental collapse. From the overwhelming “crackerness” of Idaho to his near death march across the high desert, he withstood tremendous trauma.
