Portland | Cecil Brown
Before the Rock For Rozlynn benefit show, I had read on myspace that a band was part of a benefit in Vancouver BC. Execpt the benefit was for a “cool guy” who was moving to another city. And so with such trival concerns as helping someone pay their moving expenses masquerading as a “benefit”, it’s no wonder there is a bit of reluctance for paying to get into a benefit show.

Too bad for anyone who missed this show at Berbati’s Pan. This was a benefit to help a couple of regular people pay medical bills for their daugthers kidney treatment. So if watching Yacht tear down his screen and crunk’n it up wasn’t good enough just for $7 then having the Joggers follow up and take over the show should of been.

Benefit organizer, Jessie McCoy told renegademag that she really wanted to help her friends. So she took upon herself to ask for donations for a raffle, free performances by bands and a space to hold an event. So between the raffle, donations and door money they helped raise over $1500. Thanks for everyone who showed up.

After opening at Tonic Lounge, LKN came on to mop up. Dan from the Joggers said “she is in a league of her own in Portland. Every time we get a show like this, she’s the first one I call. Usually she can’t make it. But tonight she could.”
