After getting coffee I steped next door to Le Voyeur’s entrance to see what was happening. I was hoping to see something about Scream Club but thought it was pretty remote. Guess what, yeah I saw a poster that had a show with them. After reading further I find out it’s in 3 hours. So I decided to stay and find the place. There was no address just an intersection, Jefferson and Thurston behind the Alpine Experience? (more…)

One of the underground heros of Bonnie Heart Clyde, Emily Katz, is presenting her own clothing line called Emily Katz. I didn’t have a chance to speak with her so I won’t be able to give any insightful quotes but I think her designs reveal more through wearing them than anything anyone could say. She did mention that Bonnie Heart Clyde will be taking a break during this time while Emily will be taking time to produce and manage the new line. (more…)

I didn’t know I was going to be dancing all night long on my one night visit to Portland. We didn’t really have a plan. Our friend Zipper texted earlier about an all night burning man kinda thing that was to benefit The City Repair Project.
11:23 pm - We were headed to Ash Street Saloon to meet Parker and see the Sand People. But we didn’t find that out until we were on our way downtown. (more…)

Jason Thielke’s TOXIC show at hecklewood was a great time. Complete with beats and sounds by Ohmega Watts, beer by PBR , new art, and a new shirt just for this show. The night was filled with beautiful women, ugly guys, and a lot of talent. Pretty damn cool if ya ask me. (more…)

Well it seems that the Cannibus Cup winner two years ago has finally made it’s way into the cascadian market in quantity. The N.Y.C Diesel comes from the big apple. My friend who just had some, said it was some of the dankest and headiest cannibus she’d ever tasted. This Cannabis tastes and smells like diesel exhaust. Weird and powerful. It takes awhile to get the smell and tasted out so you can smell other strains clearly. N.Y.C Diesel will leave you an unusual taste that stands out anywhere. (more…)

The Life of a Heartbreaker is the latest from the dynamic duo of Cindy Wonderful and Sarah Adorable who are Scream Club. Full of panic and fun. The title track is a fast and wild dance jam. Beats for weeks and clever original rhymes that have an honesty that keeps it relatable. Drunk calling, insecurity, jealousy and falling in love. (more…)

Out with the toxic street team, they were advertising for the new show at hecklewood for Jason Thielke on Friday, March 16. From the Pearl to old town to the industrial NW, hecklewoods glasses and “Toxic” are represent’n. At the end of the night, we were chased off by a angry guy with a stearn mustache. (more…)

Where are the communists when you need them? Apparently at the Tiger Bar. With a collective mix of beats and flows by Suckapunch. With a fist in the air the other on the mic, Mic Crenshaw Blasts the air with phrases that propose a different view on our lives. Combined with soviet house and cascadian beats built by Keith Schreiner this mix stomps on weak (free market) hip hop. (more…)

What would you be without the internet????… no seriously… think about it…. what would you be without the internet? You would be married… that is what you would be. You would be married in the suburbs with a 14 month old baby and you would be a day trader to your loving partner’s real estate brokerage firm. How do I know this? (more…)
