After getting coffee I steped next door to Le Voyeur’s entrance to see what was happening. I was hoping to see something about Scream Club but thought it was pretty remote. Guess what, yeah I saw a poster that had a show with them. After reading further I find out it’s in 3 hours. So I decided to stay and find the place. There was no address just an intersection, Jefferson and Thurston behind the Alpine Experience? I drove out of the main downtown and headed into the warehouse and industrial area after getting vague directions. I pass this blue building house thing with a bunch of musicians hanging outside. They all greet me with long stares while in my hand I had ready my jizzle. I felt very intimidated. I pulled around to the back and sat for a minute and decide to drive around downtown and deal with my issue.
When I pulled up again, this time an hour later or so, this guy (later to find out his name is Nick) who was looking into a window walked up to the van. When I opened the door, I smiled and he asked, ‘are you the guy who owns this?’ I laughed and said ‘I’m just some random guy who decided to see your show tonight.’ Nick tells me about how they’d been waiting for an hour and half for the owner to show up and let them in. They have a bunch of equipment because they were recording the show tonight in video and audio. Then this guy (slippery peeT) came up to us saying he got the door open by going through a back window. I knew this was going to be good.
Mub Fractal and the Flying Pteradactyls
Ummm. Well, I wasn’t very impressed. Big expansive guitar jams with a ton of flanger. Pretty cool considering how high I was but the singing was, well, to be Simon Cowell it was dreadful.
Scream Club
The fucking amazing Cindy Wonderful and Sarah Adorable. Yeah, fucking amazing. Electronic punk pop that has great beats. Their dance routines, smart ass rhymes and costumes should be inspiring people to rise up and take over the world. Read the review of their ‘Life of a Heartbreaker’ and listen to songs.
