Madlib And Co.

It sucks when the headliner isn’t as good as the openers. I think the difference between an artist and performer is the difference between me going to a show or not. Mablib is a brilliant musican/producer. Not so much a brilliant performer. Percee P is an alright rapper but a great performer. So the break down is this, I buy Madlib’s music, I pay to see Percee P. I guess it’s the trade off for shows that could really suck. A line up with MC’s/DJ’s/Producer who are pushing hip hop and music studio work, may not keep an audience interested. So you’ve got the general conclusion to Saturday nights show at Berbati’s. Percee P was into it. Pulling girls on stage and having fun. Peanut Butter Wolf was good for what he does. He pulled out old shit like Bel Biv Devoe’s “Poison” and obscure reggae hits.

J Rocc on his serato keep things together throughout. So the best part of Madlib’s set was the live drummer. Still played out though.
