Breeze Block

You know. Portland Oregon. Home sweet home of the Breeze Block Gallery. Tucked away off Alberta Street murals cover the front and inside of the shop and a ‘whatever goes’ wall on the side of the building. In love with the new location, Paige Pendergast started the gallery as Street Level perched in an alley off Mississippi. From there she and friends decided that the alley wasn’t the best for visibility and looked to move. After a solid search the treasure was found. Two garage doors front and back, a private back patio and parking. And conveniently next door is the Bye & Bye, a bar that is busy every night. Dreamy.

As Street Level became Breeze Block, the new digs was packed and ultimately turned into a dance party. That was in January, wait until the warmer seasons. Aside from pop’n openings with DJ’s, booze and gummy bears, Breeze Block has wares for sale. Purses, art books, spray paint can lamps and limited edition clothing. The shop is full of rad goods including hard finding Belton spray paint, Krink, Sakura paint markers and fat/skinny caps. Plus a bunch other cool things by local artists and international designers. This shop tops the best places in Portland for pushing street art and aesthetics continually proven genuine and unique.

Breeze Block Gallery is currently hosting Ashley Montague. Always affordable art you can get your hands on. Art is meant to be shared. Check it out. No diggity. No doubt.
