I never thought hip hop could be pretty and sweet (Kanye West, Color Me Badd and Usher excluded) yet here comes something I’ve never heard. Not a new genre of music, but a new attitude. Simple and real rhyming about cute boys and crushes. (more…)

Two Recipes that mix THC with C2H5OH or simply put, cannabis stems with alcohol.
Cannabis stems have a small amount of THC but not enough to be smoked. When you take these old stems and combine them with vodka. Slowly extracted by the alcohol the THC releases in the vodka. This mixture can give a euphoric feeling (buzzed) while not having to waste the stems. (more…)

The French Cascadian crew at Monsieur T are killing it with their new Spring/Summer line including a new hat. Last year they introduced hats as part of their arsenal. This year they are going forward with this great designed cap. Be proud of having great designers in our community like this, so many other places wish they had talent like this. (more…)

Fellas don’t blow it by pulling out a plain condom. Dress to impress with Proper Attire. Stereotypes make things much easier.

The much talked about Starfucker are as good as you hope a new band can be. Rhythm and more specifically, drums are the forefront of their sound. The impact of two drummers simultaneously pounding out the beat make for an atmosphere full of sound and energy. This is Starfucker. (more…)

A teacher in middle school taught us that when you travel to Canada remember that “Canadians are dumb, Americans are smart.” You will always be able to outwit them by answering “no” to crucile questions.
Cecil Brown, Isiah Turducken and I were on our way to Vancouver BC when I realized In my backpack pocket were 3 half smoked joints. Good news to us considering we only had 8 joints between the three of us for 420 weekend in Vancouver. So we did what we did last time, put them in a bag in a coffee cup in a trash bag. Easy. (more…)

Welcome to Capitol Hill; a neighborhood full of great food, skinny jeaned hipsters and some of the best bars in the city. I begin my journey on a cold Friday afternoon in February. The temperature seems to drop 50 degrees every time the wind blows, and I have no choice but to warm myself with an adult beverage. My partner in crime is a local bartender. Note to reader: having a bartender friend kicks ass. They seem to know every other bartender in the area which means lots of free Washington Apple Shots. (more…)

From out of Portland comes Krista Kelly and her Shesho Designs. After three months of taking in the energy and attitude of South America fashion and street art in Buenos Aires came a burst of inspiration. Now back in the states she resides in Portland which proves to be an inspiration to her as well.

Vancouver will host the winter Olympics in two years, which is expected to be a boom not just to the city but the region. That’s plenty of time for their 1,500 sex workers to get a Co-op brothel set up. In addition to getting sex workers into a safer environment you give them education and skills. (more…)

Valentines hosted the last FANGS night ever. Presiding over the farewell events were Guidance Counsoler and Fleshtone. The tiny Valentines was crammed but not uncomfortable. Tight punchy songs, dance routines and kinky glam outfits were the highlights of this spring night. (more…)

Fat rumbling bass came out of Rotture Saturday night. Starky gave a great set even after a long night on Friday for Broken Disco’s 1 year anniversary at Chop Suey. Full of not just the dark growling you expect from Dubstep but he had the energy to take it up a notch and then another. (more…)

Some of the best galleries in Seattle reside on a strip on 2nd avenue in Belltown. On this Second Friday, the afternoon was perfect, maybe it was the Dali Lama’s visit? The day was beautiful with green finally showing up on trees and paintings showing up on gallery walls. (more…)

Wednesday nights have been the best time to see bands lately. After over hearing the editor’s reaction to the Lactatious sex advice interview, I couldn’t bring myself to be turned on and musically savaged so I missed them. I caught Seagull and Wave who really impressed me with tight arrangements and an easy happy attitude they shared when they had to restart the song that was finished earlier that day.
DJ Equestrian killed it in between sets with cuts, even Brazil’s Bonde do Role. (more…)

Grab an atlas. Flip to the States. Zoom in on the west coast. Two regions comprise the left coast. Notice the region of California. Now spot Cascadia above. This region spans the Cascade Mountain Range of the Pacific Northwest. Below surface is the Cascadian sub-duction zone home of a devastating quake in the year 1700. A record breaking shake that shook the shit of the area. (more…)

This non-sexual social nudity “thing” seems to be for people who’s bodies couldn’t be more non-sexual especially nude. Here’s a short but fascinating list of of where you’ll find naked hippies and naked old people (usually the same) in Cascadia. I recommend the video below for creepy hippie coded talk about group sex. The naked bungee jump is another highlight. (more…)

Two groups that are pretty far apart on the spectrum of music. Both come highly recommended from Seattle.

/// The Master Musicians of Bukkake are a musical collective in Seattle that rarely perform. Comprised of anywhere from 5 - 20 musicians who are an extension of where The Sun City Girls were headed. On Wednesday March 19th at King Cobra by The Master Musicians of Bukkake started out with two drummers (more…)
