Alberta Street Fair

Last Saturday was the Alberta Street Fair on (you guessed it..) Alberta Street. Now, usually I attend the same celebration under a different name- Last Thursday. And I have to admit, I like the night life version better. More going on-more freaks and potential trouble. As one old timer told me, the Last Thursday celebrations remind him of the Haight-Ashbury district circa ‘61. I really don’t fucking know, as I wasn’t born for almost 15 years after. I do like the potential truth to that though.

Anyway, I guess that there ARE differences between the Alberta Street Fair and Last Thursday, but I cannot remember what I was told. Undoubtedly because I was stoned as usual and pretty hyped up for the football game later that evening. I did make it out because I am staying on Alberta and my girls Rae and Brooke were cooling out there. After a quick looksy and an intense Sun, we dipped into the sports bar for some pints.

I am sure this event was all that for the people who like this sort of thing, and in all honesty it is a great idea. All things local and made and sold by the artisans, I think. But like I stated earlier, I prefer the night life version for obvious reasons.

Regardless, hit this mother fucker up next time. Or any other street fair that comes your way before the rain does. You never know who you might run into. Like my man Jeremy who spotted a girl from his elementary school in Oklahoma.
