Yo- and there it was, another performance by the Seattle entertainers ‘Mad Rad’. This time on an upstairs floor in a warehouse in N.W. Portland’s industrial section.

The show culminated or started, I am not quite sure, the annual naked bike ride here in lower Cascadia. Therefore the show had an added flair to the usual drugged out, bass heavy chaos I have become hyped to anticipate when checking out Mad Rad.

That added flair, was actually no flair- nakedness, in both good and bad forms as many young and beautiful butterflies put their bodies on display while they got down to the rhythms ricocheting around the run down warehouse turned club. For the ladies, there were many cocks out and about as well.

The humid, sweaty, loud, and organized extreme energy that is Mad Rad was able to keep the direction focused despite a few power outs and that interestingly diverse combination of undercover cops, Ninkasi, old naked people, drugs, and over sexed young femininity. Probably not as wild as the Hell’s Angels and the Merry Pranksters, but nonetheless a good time to some quality sound with some nice tits and ass.
