Excuse My French

After smoking my face off, I wasn’t so sure I could even make it out to Massive on Saturday. Then I got a weird email from someone I didn’t recognize with the subject “Live” and only a youtube link. Barely able to think I clicked and waited to watch something crappy. No. I was fucking blown away! The video had been seen only 68 times and was amazing. This is what the future will be. Drums and Ableton will be the instruments of the future not turntables or guitars. So immediately I email back to this strange sounding person asking for information about what and who this is. This is what I get back:

hi , dan

thank you , to reply to me so fast. and what you said.

so , I ‘m a french drummer, composer, and I love music more than everything, I work on my electronic project very seriously, first episode was called “2M2X” , and I played in my city Lyon ( east of France ) , and Paris festival: ” les nuits sonores “,  in club:  ” la marquise”,  ”jazz hot club”, and for breakdance battle, universal soulcircle in Grenoble. and more…

now, my new set is ready, it ’s between, hip-hop groove, and 2-step,  I want to play it all accross the world! Included your town!

I record at home an original underground EP  for the 15 of january 2010, no labels, no industry on me for the moment

thanx to you Dan, my electronic interlocutor

I know some of you might be wondering why someone outside of Cascadia is getting mentioned in Renegade. True, he’s not even in N. America but his music is future and in Paris the present. To be considered by him while around the other side of the world in Portland was an honor. So fuck it, this guys music is pretty impressive. Portland show the French how much love we have for great music and hit up his youtube with comments. Maybe a promoter will contact him? Who knows?

Also, I’d prefer to be addressed with my new title, Electronic Interlocutor.
