Renegade would love to have you on board: We are always looking for writers and artists to provide content for our future printed issues, as well as online. We are looking for creative nonfiction, personal essays, photos, graphic art (painting, illustration, prints, cartoons and so forth), fiction, short plays and whatever else you would like to send us. Pitches and submissions are accepted three times a year according to a given theme.

Please note that Renegade is currently unable to pay contributors or staff. We do, however, promise to lavish you with love and affection.

Submission Guidelines

//Art Submissions//////////
Renegade accepts art submissions in photography and graphic art (such as painting, illustration, comics and prints). If you would like to submit an image or join Renegade’s staff artists, please send your resume and relevant images to our art director at dan@renegademag.com.

//Written Submissions///
Renegade accepts written content in all forms. Please note, however, all submissions must relate to an upcoming issue’s theme. If you would like to submit an essay or story, please send it with your resume to dan@renegademag.com via e-mail only. The Renegade staff regrets that it cannot respond to every submission, due to the high volume of mail received.

//Article Pitches//////////////
Renegade encourages article pitches in addition to submissions. If you have an idea for an article in one of our upcoming issues, please send an e-mail to dan@renegademag.com explaining your idea, along with your resume and related clips or writing samples. All accepted pitches will be collaboratively developed with Renegade’s senior editors, and all writers will be required to complete a draft, a rewrite and a polish of their work.
